KVM VPS Setup

 

Thank you for choosing a Rokabear KVM VPS.

The first thing you will notice about a Rokabear KVM VPS is that you the customer get to install your OS your way.

If you require help installing your OS please open a ticket to support, or email support@rokabear.com.

 

To install your OS, you must first connect to your VPS via vnc.  This can be accomplished via either the

Rokabear Client Portal or the Rokabear VPS Control Panel.

Method 1: Rokabear Client Portal

  1. Navigate to https://clients.rokabear.com
  2. Click on "My Services" at the top of the page
  3. Click on the Details Icon for the KVM VPS as shown by the red arrow in the picture below

4.  Click on the VNC button, as indicated in the picture below.

5. If a POP-UP windows asks you to allow java or to trust the java application,

click on Allow or Trust as is appropriate.

6. A seperate window will open with a console session to your VPS ready to be intalled.

7. Install the OS in your VNC terminal.  When your machine reboots it will boot off

of your newly installed Operating System.

 

Method 2: VPS Control Panel

  1. Navigate to https://vps.rokabear.com:5656
  2. Log in with your vmuser username and password sent to you via email.
  3. Click on the Manage Icon shown below.

4.  The Management Console for your VPS will load, and you can then

5.  A java pop up window may ask you to "Allow" or "Trust" the application starting.

Please select "Allow" or "Trust" to allow the vns terminal to continue loading.

6. Install the OS in your VNC terminal.  When your machine reboots it will boot off

of your newly installed Operating System.
