We often get asked where the name and mascot for Rokabear came from. Roka is an all white German Shepherd dog that the founder rescued from a shelter only hours before his time was up. When rescued he was malnourished, dirty and terrified. When brought home, the white dog was terrified of everyone and everything (including toys), but instantly bonded to the founder. Later a rescue worker informed the family that they suspected abuse and neglect at the dogs former home.

To give him a new beginning, the dogs new family gave him a new name, Roka. The founder's family then started the process of rehabilitation, helping him find his confidence and enjoy life in his new home. Today Roka is happy and loves meeting new people, he just needed the right guide to find his way.

Roka's progress in a stable and encouraging environment inspired the founder. That is why we focus on allowing customers to host their way, being flexible to their needs.  If and when they need our help Rokabear is there, ready to take on whatever challenge the customer needs to succeed.
